La fotografía en color
Con el permiso del creador original, que creo se encuentra por aquí, quiero recuperar este tema sobre el que tanto posteamos antaño en otro lugar de cuyo nombre no quiero acordarme. A mí particularmente me encantaba buscar por la red esas fantásticas fotografías de generales y "prominentes" que tanto lucen en nuestros archivos personales. He aquí una pequeña muestra:

Erich Brandenberger (1892-1955). General der Panzertruppe in November 1943, he commanded 8. Pz.Div. from 20 February 1941 to 16 January 1943. Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves.
Max Fremerey (1889-1968), Generalleutnant in June 1943, he commanded 18 Schtz.Brig. (18 Pz.Div.) in 1940-1942 then 155 and 233 Res.Pz.Div. Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
Heinz Guderian (1888-1954). Generaloberst viewed as one of the founding fathers of the German tank arm, he commanded a motorized corps and later a tank army (2 Pz.Armee). He was dismissed in December 1942 with no further operational command on the front.
Josef Harpe (1887-1968), General oberst in April 1944, he commanded a whole series of armored units: 1 Pz.Brig. (1939), 12 Pz.Div. (1940), XXXI Pz.K. (1942), 4 and 5 Pz.Armeen (1944 and 1945)
Ferdinand Schorner (1892-1973). This Bavarian, amountain troop specialist, commanded XXXX. Pz.K. in 1943. He was the last general in the Heer to rise to the rank of Generalfeldmarschall (april 1945). Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak L
Richard Ruoff (1883-1967). Generaloberst in 1942, he commanded 4. Pz.Armee (1942). Dismissed following the defeat at Stalingrad in 1943. Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross.
Erwin Rommel (1891-1944), Generalfeldmarschall. The best-known of German World War II generals, he commanded 7. Pz.Div. (1940) and Pz. Armee "Afrika" in 1942. Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords and Diamonds.
Lothar Rendulic (1887-1971). Generaloberst in 1944, this Austrian commanded 2.Pz.Armee (1944). Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
Hermann von Oppeln-Bronikowski (1899-1966). Generalmajor in 1945, he commanded 24.Pz.Div. (1944). Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.

Hans Mikosch (1898-1993). Generalleutnant in 1945, he commanded 13. Pz.Div. (1943). Here we see him in the uniform of an Oberst (rank obtained in 1942). Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves.
General Giovanni Messe (gauche), commanding officerr of CSIR with General de Carolis, commanding officer of the "Torino" Cavalry Division. Messe succeeded Rommel in command of Pz.Armee "Afrika" (1943).

Otto von Knobelsdorff. General der Panzertruppe in 1942, he commanded XXXXVIII, and XXXX. Pz.K. (1942 and 1944). Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
Hans Kallner (1898-1945). Generalleutnant in 1944, he commanded 19. Pz.Div. (1943) then XXIV. Pz.K. (1945) before being killed on the Eastern front. Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
Helmuth Weidling (1891-1955). General der Artillerie in 1944, he commanded XXXXI and LVI Pz.K. (1943 and 1945). He died in captivity in the USSR in 1955. Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
Rudolf von Waldenfels (1895-1969). Generalleutnant in 1944, he commanded 6 Pz.Div. (1943). Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross.
Fridolin von Senger und Etterlin (1891-1963). General der Panzertruppe in 1944, he commanded 17 Pz.Div. (1942) and XIV Pz.K. (1943). Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves.
Frierich Schilz (1897-1976). General der Infantrie in 1944, he commanded III Pz.K. (1943) then XXXXVI Pz.K. (1944). Awarded the Knight's Cross of Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.

Adalbert Schulz (1903-1944). Generalmajor at the age of 41, this young and brilliant officer of the armored troops, drawn from the ranks of the police, commanded 7 Pz. Div. in 1944. He was killed on the Russian front in January 1944.
On these three photos we see more infantry moving forward alongside tanks but this time in the Caucasus in the sector of 1. Pz.Armee during the summer of 1942. These photos appear to have been taken in a real-life situation
According to the caption published in Signal, these photographs showing infantry moving forward with tanks were taken north of Moscow in the village of Bultchevo. However, the tank seen in photo 3 bears the K of Pazer Gruppe 1 Kleist (alias 1. Pz.Armee)
