An estimated 20,000 French civilians live in Saigon.

Pero ese día no acabo la guerra, ya que japón aun no aceptaba la rendición incondicional. Después del lanzamiento de la bomba de Nagasaki el 8 de agosto y amenazas de continuar con los bombardeos; el 2 de septiembre del mismo año Japón acepto la rendicion incondicional.... así que no confundan el lanzamiento de la bomba con el fin de la guerra
