From 5 to 8 June 2008 : CARENTAN AIRBORNE FESTIVAL
5th June : 5.30 pm : At the "Carré de Choux", official commemoration of the city of Carentan on Battelfield site with about 100 American soldiers. Ceremony at the Signal Monument. Parade in the centre of the city.
Reconstitution of a typical army camp : a visit to experience the daily life of an allied soldier.
Demonstration of armoured vehicules ans tanks, Helicopter excursion to view the parachute landing zones for Carentan. expo-village
FRIDAY 6 JUNE
5 pm : Parachute jump by the Liberty Jump Team over the Angoville au Plain Region (weather permetting)
8 pm : Evening meal and dance at Carentan race course.
Soirée dansante avec repas - Salle des Fêtes de CARENTAN à 20H0
SATURDAY 7 JUNE
2 pm : parade of period military vehicules through the town of Carentan, the parade will include more than one hundred vehicules and will stop in Carentan town centre.
5 pm : presentation of the trophys for the most authentic reconstructions, in the presence of veterans.
8.30 pm : Musical evening finished with a firework display accompanied by music.
SUNDAY 8 JUNE
6 pm : At the race course Parachute jump by the Liberty Jump Team involving several parachutists in period uniform from a C-47 (weather permitting)
Festival finale with a meal and musical entertainment with the members ot the Liberty Jump Team and veterans
4th BROTHERS IN ARMS MARCH
9 am : Departure from Carentan, square Grd Valnoble
3 pm : Arrival of the walkers at the Dead Man's Corner Museum
3/4 pm : Parade with veterans in the lead, going down the Purple heart lane.
